Focus scriptures: Matthew 28:19-20
'And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, '
Matthew 28:18-19 (NKJV)
You might be wondering, "What am I supposed to do with my life?" "What's my purpose here?" all valid questions and ones I've personally asked before...several times throughout my years as a believer.
It's completely normal to ask this. It's completely normal to not know. But if this question has been stirring within you, then it's awesome that you're reading this...because you're about to get the answer.
Every single person alive (wether saved or not) has a purpose for their life. Every single person on this earth has a calling. Whether or not they fulfill that purpose or answer the call, is completely up to the individual.
After, Christ was sacrificed on the cross, placed in Joseph's tomb, and after He had risen, He declared He'd been given all authority and gave the charge to those around Him to go and make disciples of ALL nations.
This particular verse of the Bible is prescriptive and should be followed by all believers. And since it's not in God's will that anyone should perish (2 Peter 3:9) it's our mission as believers to proclaim the gospel to all we can.
We were all created to give God the glory and all the honor. We were created to praise Him. But ever since the fall of man, we all fall short of this purpose (Romans 3:23), but falling short doesn't mean the purpose isn't there or that you've lost your calling.
Falling short, simply means you need a savior (as we ALL do). The good news is Jesus is that savior and because His sacrifice means we are forgiven...we should be ecstatic about this truth and ready to go make disciples to those we encounter.
But I know...this can be a little nerve wrecking to share the gospel especially with those who's beliefs are the stark opposite of your own. But notice Jesus didn't say "go make disciples if you're bold and brave". As believers we are CALLED to do this despite being nervous about doing so.
I want to point out that being nervous is completely different than being ashamed. Luke 9:26 tells us that if you're ashamed of Christ before the world...He will be ashamed of you before His father.
That's why we are here to help you share the faith with boldness without even saying a word. Use our shirts as ice breakers so you can share the faith without shame and hesitation.
Now, you know your purpose for life: to praise God. You know your calling: go make disciples. Grab a shirt and wear it to the store. You may not get a conversation, but those who see you will get a message.
